The CSS Assessment Suite uses a triaged assessment approach to assist education sector actors to assess Comprehensive School Safety and identify the schools with the most critical unsafe conditions. The tools support policymakers and other education sector actors in the design of interventions and the allocation of resources to enhance CSS.
The Suite includes three coordinated assessment tools:
- First Step raises community awareness and is intended for use by students.
- School Safety Self-Assessment assesses all three pillars of CSS and is intended for use by school staff.
- VISUS Lite or VISUS Pro conducts thorough technical assessments of school facilities and is intended for use by trained technical experts.
The CSS Assessment Suite Backgrounder document and PowerPoint presentation are available here.
